FAQ
WHO CAN ENTER?
We welcome all small-medium sized businesses in the UK to enter the awards. You can nominate yourself, your business, or another deserving business. Public or private, B2B or B2C. No matter the scope or sector of your business, if you’ve done great work to improve your business and or the industry, these awards are for you!
WHAT IS THE INVOLVED COST?
The awards are free to enter!
There’s a separate cost to attend the awards ceremony (optional).
NOMINATION/ENTRY PROCESS
Here’s a breakdown of the nomination process:
- You can submit a nomination for a maximum of two categories using our online nomination link.
- Choose the categories that best suit the business’s/persons strengths.
- All nominations/entries are made online via the following link
WHO ARE THE JUDGES?
An independent panel of industry judges will consider each nomination and vote on the winners for each category.
The judges reserve the right to re-categorise entries if they think another category would be more suitable. However, they cannot be expected to routinely re-categorise incorrectly entered projects. The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding them.
TIPS ON WRITING A WINNING SUBMISSION:
- Review the category criteria carefully to understand what the judges are looking for in each category. All criteria can be found here.
- Focus on the business’s performance in those areas.
- Include links to relevant work samples (websites, reports, etc.) so judges can verify the information.
- Ensure all links work and will continue to work for 6 months after submission.
- Provide accurate information and credit the right companies.
WHEN IS THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE?
Deadline has been extended. Final entries close: Sunday, 19 May 2024 at 23:59.
HOW ARE THE WINNERS SELECTED?
Each category winner is chosen by our panel of judges based on total score.
WHEN WILL THE SHORTLIST AND WINNERS BE ANNOUNCED?
The shortlist will be announced via email and across our social media channels in June 2024.
Winners will be announced live and in person at the British Business Awards Ceremony in Central London in November 2024.
AM I REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY AND WILL IT IMPACT MY CHANCES OF WINNING?
You are not required to attend the Awards Ceremony and no, this will not impact your chances of winning at all.
We do encourage you to attend the event with your team though as it’s an excellent networking opportunity and we would love to celebrate with you in person!
When ticket sales launch we encourage you to book them ASAP as the number of seats are limited!
If you are unable to attend, and should you win, your award will be sent to your postal address post-event.
